The Leaden Hills

Sunset over the Leaden Hills
Laying to the northwest of the Vale, the Leaden Hills are sandwiched between the Purple Mountains to the northeast, and the Deepen Woods to the southwest. Named for the Hill Dwarf lead mine pits, and named by Julian Costello, The Leaden Hills are an alternately forested and bald hill formation, forming the foothills of the western edge of the Purple Mountains.

Not extensively explored or known, the hills are known for the village of Melad Crossings, and its famous Tavern. Its also is known for "The Pocks" a series of empty lead strip mines in the south, and its most famous site, known by its nickname ' The Strike'.

The Pocks - Hill Dwarf Lead Strip Mines
Little else is known of the Leaden Hills, as they have been little explored. Everyone assumes they will be the target of some adventurous crews as southern sites from the first two incursions begin to dry of their bounty.
